H.E. Professor Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai, Chairman of APRC, participated, via virtual format, the Annual Meeting of Leaders for Peace held in Geneva, Switzerland on May 12, 2022.  He supported many new ideas discussed at the meeting i.e. a new humanism, collective responsibility, peace education and intergenerational dialogue to promote peace as well as a launching of Itinerant Peace School.

He urged Leaders for Peace to work closely with UNSG and WEF as these new ideas will further enhance UNSG’s report on “Our Common Agenda” and renew ongoing efforts to redefine and reinvigorate multilateralism.

“We need a new mechanism, new thinking, new approach for a new dialogue to promote peace and reconciliation through a renewed multilateralism” said Dr. Sathirathai.
